Round 1 1/4' Wood Moulding plane stamped L. & I. J. White, Buffalo, c. 1850



This 1 1/4" Round Wood Moulding plane is stamped L. & I. J. White, Buffalo and dates about 1850. It is 9 1/2" long  hardwood (probably Tiger Oak) and has a good remaining length on the cutter (just below 2"). This plane is remarkable for  having been made over about 150 years ago. It should be displayed in a fine collection but it is also ready to use.

This Vintage Double Iron Sash Wood Moulding Plane is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The finish is very good and has a nice patina. Both irons have had a lot of use but there is still a good useable length left on each. There is no name on the plane and no manufacturers stamp. The body measures 9 7/16" long x 3 1/4" high. Both wedges fit well and hold the irons tight. One is a nice replacement.

This is an early sash plane in great condition and definitely suitable to use or display in any fine collection.

The plane is 9 1/2" long x 1 1/2" thick and the cutter is 1 1/4" wide with a 1/1/2" remaining length. The finish and patina on this grand old plane is very good for its age. It is ready to use or display. It works good for either purpose.

Offered is an original Native American Watercolor on canvas board painting by a 17 year old Navajo Indian boy. I purchased this painting from the artist on the Reservation near Winslow, Ariz. in 1974. It is his depiction of a lone wolf crossing the moonlit snow covered lands below the San Francisco Peaks. He did not sign this work and I did not know enough about art at that time to request him to sign it.

It has an excellent hard rubber hand grip made by Hunt-Wilde Corporation. It is heavy duty steel and will not bend even with the most strenuous use. The blade is 1/4 inch thick at the grip and tapers to 1/16 inch thick at the tip.

A fine Native American Navajo Dream Painting by noted Navajo Indian artist Charley Yazzie. This is an original work (guaranteed) in watercolor on art board, unframed. It is signed Charlie Yazzie and measures 18" wide by 12" high.We acquired it and a few other Dream paintings in 1972 from the Navajo Reservation at Winslow, Arizona. Charley Yazzie usually painted in watercolor and gouache and his subjects are typically traditional depictions of ancient scenes, legends and rituals of the Navajo people. The condition of this wonderful painting depicting the Lone Navajo Shepard on horseback in the Arizona High Desert is in excellent condition with vivid Southwestern colors and great detail.

This Vintage Walnut- Mahogany Camelback-Tambour Mantle Clock has been serviced and cleaned and keeps accurate time. It was made cr. 1920's by the New Haven Clock Co., U.S.A. which is lettered on the clock face and paper label. The original paper label is fully readable and intact inside the back side hinged door. This clock has the HARMONY DUO-STRIKE MOVEMENT and the chimes strike on the half hour and hour. It chimes two different notes for each hour that counts out the correct hour and chimes with double strikes on the half hour. The chime sounds are melodious and very pleasant. The clock face is off white, is in excellent condition and has heavy applied brass numbers and black hands. The hinged bezel is brass and has the convex glass. The clock case is 19 3/4" long x 5 1/4" wide x 9 3/8" high. The label has complete directions and includes : DIRECTIONS FOR ADJUSTING....TO SET CORRECT TIME....TO CHANGE REMOVABLE SPRINGS. Both springs wind easily and smoothly. All parts and label appear to be original. This is not only a beautiful clock but it keeps time and chimes very accurately. Key included.

Baldwin was manufacturing tools during the same period that Roxton Tool Co. was making planes & Baldwin sold their tools to many other companies.

The thread and thumb wheel work excellent and the cutter adjustment notches are crisp and undamaged.

This Planter is made rectangular around an open area in the center from front to back and has a rainbow style stem with a single yellow Tulip bulb in the open area. It is a pleasant blended Gray/Wine color combination. It measures 10 5/8" long x 3 1/8" wide x 6 1/2" high and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restorations and has never been used as a Planter. Offered is this Vintage John Deere Pressed Steel Silage Forage Wagon made by Ertl, in Dyersville, Ia. USA. The paint and Graphics have good color and lustre and all parts, including wheels, tongue, side silage chute and tailgate all operate very good. The top rotating bar has some tines missing but it is almost un-noticeable. It appears that this toy may has been carefully played with. There are some tiny paint nicks along the top edges and midway on the tongue. It measures 9 1/2" long x 4 3/4" wide x 4 1/2" high not including the tongue.

This Roseville Pottery Florentine 1 Compote was produced in 1924 and is in excellent condition. It is unmarked but clearly shown in all Roseville reference guides. It is No. 6-4 and it stands 4" tall with a top rim opening diameter of 4" and the widest diameter below the rim being 6". It is decorated with brown bark textured panels alternating with perpendicular stripes embossed with cascades of leaves and berries. The condition is pristine with no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs or restorations and appears to have been unused. We guarantee all our pottery to be original and authentic.
